Forty years of EMDR practice to share
Committed to sharing skills and knowledge with other therapists. One of the OWLS (Older, Working Less, Still earning). EMDR Consultant and Systemic Therapist, and delighted when both modalities can be used together with families. Works mostly with adults – often with Complex PTSD. Large supervision practice.
Was CEO and Director of national and international for-profit and non-profit companies. Now retired from corporate life and from canoeing (favourite outdoor pursuit) though still walking. Currently, wondering whether to retire from performing as bass-baritone recitalist and soloist.
In line with her passion for supporting people of all ages to reach their potential, Marilyn is committed to creating opportunities for people to learn and grow. She is an EMDR Therapist and Consultant. She works across the age range, and draws on other modalities/ approaches, including a range of creative techniques, particularly when working with her younger clients.
Prior to becoming a therapist, she had a career in education working in many contexts from classroom teacher, through senior management to whole school and national training. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her ever-increasing family, gardening, cycling and a number of craft-based hobbies.
Sally has extensive experience as an EMDR Consultant and also as a Family Therapist. She is excited to put her learning onto videos so that others can observe and be better able to use the many EMDR-related therapeutic tools now available to help clients, supervisees and supervisors with their EMDR practice.
Previously, Sally was in the American Peace Corps working as a Community Development Worker in the Philippines. She returned to the USA and practiced as a Speech, Language and Hearing Therapist before marrying and moving to the UK, where she continued her practice before becoming qualified as a Couples and Family Systemic Psychotherapist.
