Forty years of EMDR practice to share

 

Richard Worthing-Davies 

Committed to sharing skills and knowledge with other therapists.  One of the OWLS (Older, Working Less, Still earning).  EMDR Consultant and Systemic Therapist, and delighted when both modalities can be used together with families.  Works mostly with adults and has a large supervision practice.

Born in Wales, educated in the UK and in the USA. Worked in the corporate and charity/non-profit sectors for 35 years. Was CEO and Director of national and international for-profit and not-for-profit companies before moving into the therapy world. Now retired from corporate life, from canoeing (favourite outdoor pursuit) and from performing as bass-baritone recitalist and soloist (my ‘other’ life).  

 

Marilyn Tew

In line with her passion for supporting people of all ages to reach their potential, Marilyn is committed to creating opportunities for people to learn and grow.   She is an EMDR Therapist and Consultant.  She works across the age range, and draws on other modalities/ approaches, including a range of creative techniques, particularly when working with her younger clients. 

Prior to becoming a therapist, she had a career in education working in many contexts from classroom teacher, through senior management to whole school and national training.  When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her ever-increasing family, gardening, cycling and a number of craft-based hobbies.  

 
 
 

Sally Worthing-Davies

Sally has extensive experience as an EMDR Consultant and also as a Family Therapist.  She is excited to put her learning onto videos so that others can observe and be better able to use the many EMDR-related therapeutic tools now available to help clients, supervisees and supervisors with their EMDR practice.

Sally has dual citizenship - UK and USA. She was in the American Peace Corps working as a Community Development Worker in the Philippines.  She returned to the USA and practiced as a Speech, Language and Hearing Therapist before marrying and moving to the UK, where she continued her practice before becoming qualified as a Couples and Family Systemic Psychotherapist.  She then discovered EMDR. She has recently retired from her role as an EMDR therapist and Consultant.

Amy Prior 

Amy Prior has been working with children, young people and adults for 12 years in a variety of settings including, Youth Justice Service and Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Her role has enabled her to build a foundation of knowledge about children and young people’s needs and the various factors that can contribute to mental health.

Amy is an EMDR Europe Accredited Child and Adolescent Consultant. She has been awarded an EMDR master’s degree at the University of Worcester. Sh has a thriving practice in Wales where she lives.
